37th Kingswood Cadet Band
We are a non profit making, musical education activity for young people. Part of the Scout movement, and 2010 British Youth Band Association Cadet Champions, our members are all aged between 8 and 15. Our team of experienced and enthusiastic volunteers coach a variety of music and choreography skills. New members are always welcome, so please click below to find out more.
Crafty Co. is a group for school age art and craft-loving kids. We meet in term time on Wednesdays from 6-7pm. Each term we make a wide variety of craft items, often messy and always fun. The children also have a drink and biscuit, usually a short bible story and sometimes a game. For more information contact Kim Fenton on 0117 932 7403.
We encourage young people to challenge the barriers they face by engaging with the arts. Young people from all backgrounds, including those who are financially deprived or have experienced abuse, and those who live with a disability. We get them involved, thinking, doing, creating... discovering their potential. We aim high: we work with world class artists and high quality youth workers to inspire, challenge, encourage and support.
Kingsmeadow Community Flat is the hub of the community, improving residents' lives through access to local services, support, information, activities and learning opportunities in an informal, non-threatening environment - providing local solutions for local needs.

The group meets at 1 Hanham Road, Kingswood, Bristol. Monday’s sessions are 6.45pm-8pm for children aged from 7 to 11; Tuesdays are for 11-25 year olds and the sessions run from 7.30pm to 9.30pm with other ad hoc events. Membership fees are £2 per week. Multi FM - 87.7 FM
Multi FM is a radio station run by young people aged 14 to 20 years old, from the Kingswood-based Old School youth centre. The young people host a mixture of interviews, live music and songs. They interview a range of guests, including representatives from the police, councils and the health service, and other organisations. Councillor Sheila Cook, executive member for children and young people, praised the efforts of the youngsters. She said: “I think Multi FM is a fantastic project. It enables a group of young people to come together and create something they can be proud of, as well as learning new skills.
Orchard Workshop
Orchard Workshop provides a welcoming and supportive environment in which to develop your ideas and talents. We offer courses for all aged 8–80+! Our team of creative tutors help you to achieve your artistic and personal goals. Courses are designed for small groups so there is time to meet people and make new friends. South Gloucestershire Music Service
The Service provides opportunities for young people to participate in performance activities, for which a termly charge is made. There is a wide range of training groups, ensembles, bands and orchestras meeting each week during term time. Based at the Kingswood Foundation, The Urban Academy provides arts and performing arts activities for young people. They offer a wide range of activities including dance, film-making, drama and more.
