Potters Wood 125th Anniversary Celebration
Potters Wood Methodist Church
Anniversaries are about history. They are a way of marking what has gone before and a way of remembering the date when something began. We at Potters Wood are part of the history of our church. All that has gone before in our church’s history has made us the fellowship we are today and we remember with fondness people that have come and gone in the church, times of wonderful worship, many Sunday School children and uniformed organisations, and dear friends.
On October 15th, we will be celebrating the 125th year of Potters Wood Church in Kingswood. What this church is today and the blessings it enjoys, all came from those who have gone before us, being built on faith and witness.
As each generation has followed one after another, so their witness and blessings were passed on.
Anniversaries are not only about the past. As we thank God for the blessings we have today, we also think about those who will continue to worship here in the future
We will be celebrating on the morning of 15th October from 11am as our service is led by our minister of around 30 years ago, Tony Price, and dear friend of Potters Wood and local preacher John Creech. We will be singing favourite hymns to the music of the Unity Brass Band.
Whether you have been to Potters Wood before, or if you’d like to pop along for the first time, please do join us and help us celebrate 125 years, and make more memories for anniversaries to come!
Come along to Potters Wood Methodist Church, Pow’s Road, opposite the Star pub on Hanham Road.
